- Driving the truck to pick up donated products - Helping to load items at the donor's location in a safe and courteous fashion - Unloading truck at ReStore, following back dock guidelines - Helping clean and move priced items to the showroom floor, as needed - Assessing customers' needs and provide assistance and information on products available - Welcoming customers to the RESTORE and answer their questions
The ReStore Deconstruction Crew Member & Driver will support Tulsa Habitat for Humanity through effective management of the ReStore Deconstruction Crew & Truck Driving Operations and will create and maintain positive visibility of Tulsa Habitat for Humanity in the community. The Tulsa Habitat ReStore Deconstruction Crew Member & Driver works as a team to disassemble buildings/residences, inside and out, in order to preserve materials for reuse. This position requires someone who can work with limited oversight, while projecting a professional image in speech and demeanor in their interactions with others in multiple venues and scenarios.
•Perform a wide variety of deconstruction tasks efficiently, including, but not limited to: sheetrock, electrical components, cabinets, plumbing, locks, carpentry and many other common items found in buildings/residences. May also include landscaping and grounds removal. •Ability to hand-deconstruct building structures, including: performing surface and structural salvage, handling recycling and waste materials and preparing and loading salvaged material for hauling. •Must be knowledgeable in the use and operations of small power tools. •Comply with all safety rules, standards and regulations. •Be able to lift 50-75 lbs. or more frequently. •Be able to stand, stoop, kneel, climb and pull on a frequent basis. •Drive the truck to the work site. •Help to load items at the work site in a safe and courteous fashion. •Assist in unloading truck at ReStore, following back dock guidelines. •Help clean and move priced items to the showroom floor, as needed. •Assist in other areas within the ReStore, as requested. •Assist in keeping trucks well maintained and clean & perform minor repairs, as needed. •Ensure the licenses and other required information are maintained properly for government bodies and others as appropriate, and all state, and Federal laws are followed at all times. •Completes daily and weekly vehicle safety check-lists. •Submits all requested scheduling and trucking documentation timely. •Follows all Safety and reporting guidelines as outlined by ReStore Manager.
•Customer Service; assist store customers and answers questions, provide a positive retail experience with prompt and courteous service.
•Answers phones using approved RACK phone policies.
•Cash handling and operate a cash register and make change.
•Follows policy for pricing for all items before displaying them on the Retail floor. Follows pricing structure where applicable; researches prices for unusual items by contacting appropriate retail operations in local area and utilizing internet resources for research.
•Perform some clerical duties including; collecting and distributing mail and messages, filing receipts, paperwork and RACK tracking.
•Process donated inventory quickly and efficiently.
•Maintain store and facility; clean shelves, bathrooms, and retail displays as well as restock merchandise as needed
•Provide support to RACK Manager and other duties as assigned.
•Ensures RACK policies and procedures are closely followed in the Store.
•Be an Ambassador for Tulsa Habitat for Humanity and the RACK.
•Graduation from high school or GED.
•Successful passage of criminal background, drug screen and Sexual Offender Check.
